When the sitrep came across his desk, O’Neill was on the next plane to Colorado before the ink had even dried.

This was the kind of stuff you had to see to believe, and the very idea of eighteen Samantha Carters, eleven Daniel Jacksons, fourteen Teal’cs, sixteen Cameron Mitchells — not to mention a Janet Frasier, a Martouf, and the personnel who, as far as he was concerned were freakin’ technicians and janitors but were suddenly members of SG Teams — Jack had to get down there and see this in action.

Of course, the paperwork he filled out said “field evaluation for threat assessment”, but really, he just wanted to watch Hank Landry’s train wreck in person.

“Hello, ladies.” Rocking back on his heels, hands jaunty in his pockets, General Jack O’Neill positively beamed at the room of Carters: a venerable sea of tousled blonde hair, coffee mugs and blue jello. It was a bizarre sight to behold, but one well worth the trip.

While a majority of them gave him the duty bound, respectful nod of acknowledgment, there were a handful of outstanding reactions that Jack couldn’t help but store away for later consideration. One Carter with thick-framed glasses positively fluttered at him while another in a tank top looked ready to shit down his throat. Yep, it was a room full of Carters.

Turning to ‘his’ Carter, he asked with maniacal glee, “So, where’s the room full of Daniels?” God he loved this job.
